Our Featured Services

Specialized Shop

• Refinishing kitchen cabinets doors with lacquer

Quality wood doors can be reclaimed rather than replace.  All species from traditional oak, to modern maple can be restored and refinished.  We can paint all door styles from melamine, medium density fiberboard (MDF), particleboard, to plywood veneer, within a climate controlled spray booth.

Refinish Cabinets

• Spray kitchen cabinets in-home

We mask cabinet boxes and safely spray water based cabinet paint within your home.  Quality cabinet paint carefully applied proves a fine new furniture look.  Finish is durable and easy to clean.

Refinish Vinyl Doors

• Replacing vinyl or Thermofoil kitchen doors

‘Old school’ vinyl or thermofoil doors fail over time.  Humidity moisture and heat can cause the plastic surface to shrink.  In many cases, it is possible to remove the vinyl and repaint with a two-part lacquer.  Doors look brand new.

Update Hardware

• Upgrade with Soft-Close

We install new handles, knobs or pulls to personalize your kitchen’s appearance.  In addition , clients sometimes upgrade hinges to soft-close doors.  Likewise, after-market soft-close systems can be added to most drawers.

Maintain Your New Kitchen

Clean Cooking Area Daily
Use mild soap on a soft damp cloth to prevent grease buildup. Avoid oil or waxed based furniture polishes.

Dry Thoroughly
Always dry cabinets with a soft cloth after cleaning to prevent water spots.

Protect from Moisture
Pull kettles and toasters away from cabinets. Wipe all spills immediately to prevent water damage, especially beneath sink.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals
Avoid vinegar which is a harmful acid. Do not use popular cleaning sponges which scratch.

Chris Laurie of Painting Inspirations professionally painted our outdated kitchen cabinets, a large built-in bookcase and two bathroom vanities. It was fascinating to watch a pro in action from start to finish. Not only is Chris knowledgeable about his craft - he is thorough and detailed and has an eye for what looks good. He is a lifesaver and was super resourceful as I'd bounce ideas off him. His ability to provide helpful feedback was much appreciated. I trusted him so much throughout this process. Not only is Chris a highly experienced paint artist - his personality is so genuine and easy going. There aren't enough stars to give him. Highly, highly recommend Painting Inspirations. And a big thank you to Matilda who helped with the dismantling and installing process! Thank you both so much!

Five years later and my blue and white cabinets still look fantastic. He refurbished used oak cabinets I purchased off FB for $1000. I'm glad I also opted to change out the hardware and upgrade to soft close hinges and drawers.
